Handling Resubmitted (Cycle 2) Papers
A resubmitted (Cycle 2) paper is one that has been previously reviewed, but found to require major revisions. It is assigned the
same Paper ID number as the original paper so that its old reviews can be accessed. It is, therefore, important that you check the "
Cycle 2" box to indicate the you are the reviewer for the resubmitted paper. If this is
NOT done, eLANE will assume that you are referring to the original paper (
Cycle 1 is marked by default) and either will not log you in because you were not on the first list of Reviewers, or will not allow you to put in a new review because you were not on the first list of reviewers, or will not allow you to put in a new review because your review for the original paper is already on record.
You can view all previous reviews of resubmitted papers, including those by other reviewers. These letters will be displayed anonymously (reviewer name suppressed). Supplementary documents attached to the review can be viewed via "Paper Details" accessed from the "Download Paper" menu.
Registered Reviewers Who Wish to Submit a Paper
If you are a registered reviewer for JCISE (reviewed a paper in the past) but you have
never submitted a paper to JCISE yourself, logon as a reviewer. You can use any paper # for which you are a reviewer (if you do not remember the paper # and corresponding PIN for that paper, please contact the
Tech Editor. After you login as a reviewer, click on
Submit Paper in the
Author menu. eLANE will ask you to create an author PIN for yourself and then take you through the paper submission steps. Note that your author PIN is different from PIN's assigned to you for doing reviews.
